Visitor751's First Blog

Visitor751's First Blog

On September 13, 2022, Visitor751 business was established.

Visitor751 originated from an idea inspired by one of Mike Mitchell's gold standard-designed alien generated characters along with hundreds of other designed outer world characters featuring this 'Visiting species stranded on Earth from another planet.' What could I do with them? The illustrations are high-quality for various reasons: 1. They fit a niche, 2. They are basically pixel-perfect (can be resized to fit all kinds of items without any loss in appearance), 3. Eye-catching. Instantly, I knew what to do with the hundreds of designs and utility commercial rights: create a Print on Demand store.

Reflecting on my past attempt to create a Print on Demand store with my own digital art years ago, I realized it was a good model, but I personally lacked the design skill, marketing and sales knowledge I possess today. I am proficient at being a creator myself, semi-proficient in Adobe programs, and more. Additionally each design I use for items requires skill to be placed onto the products Visitor751 lists to sell.

With a background in working for a multitude of companies, both large and small, and having started my own businesses, the knowledge I have gained from working at a young age (for example, my first "real job" at 16 which I held for five years) and others since have taught me many hard lessons about what it means to efficiently engineer a business, and the kind of person I am. There are many obstacles Visitor751's path which will need to be conquered, and remaining optimistic is a burden worth taking on.

Earning a B.A. in marketing (2015) having pushed my way through community college and university was a rough mental task for an entrepreneurial spirit like myself. I always had the desire to learn, so if I took four classes, two were free. I would add languages such as basic German and Russian, and yoga, etc., and also self-teach myself the basics of other languages during that time all while staying actively involved in communities/sports/clubs such as business club at Community college in which I was given the opportunity to visit NYC sky scraper businesses and places like QVC studio tours.

Additionally, after college, I traveled solo to Japan in October 2019, where I learned a great deal as well with little to no knowledge of their language or culture beforehand. It was a great experience, pre-covid restriction.

Through thick and thin, in good times and bad, building businesses that help solve problems comes second nature to me. There is more to share of failures and wins of the past, but the present is what is most important at this moment. This is a place for talking all things Visitor751.

Since beginning around six months ago (this being March 2023), I have acquired art designs from upcoming artists such as Myles Aaron and Ryan Holmes, their cartoon anime-like character illustrations among other artists and pieces seem fitting to Visitor751's growing niche. I can only do so many things, and although I would like to make my own designs and can and might eventually make a few, by using theirs instead, this allows me to focus on greater interests for Visitor751's target market of those who will enjoy unique pop culture contemporary styles in making sure they know of whats being spoken in existence.

Why Print on Demand? What is it? How does it work? Where?

Print on Demand fulfills my need to solve a problem that many have: time. There are many ideas I have for directions that the Visitor751 brand can go outside of these early beginning stages with long-term moves.

The time it takes for somebody to jump on visitor751.com and purchase home decor, clothing, accessories from our online 24/7 store compared to going to the closest brick and mortar is important to a large portion of today's fast paced consumer society. By making products to order on demand it is a win/win sustainably that provides greater awareness to these modern tech designs.

Here's how it works: when a customer orders a product from our online store, the order is sent to our printing partner who then prints the design on the chosen product (e.g. hoodie, wall Tapestry, rug, etc.). The finished product is then shipped directly to the customer.
